Conclusion Questions:

1.The Book I chose for this project was Sputnik Sweetheart. I chose this book because I just finished reading it so I had many ideas in my mind for the cover art.
2.
I used many things that are used or said in the book for the cover. For example, I added smoke on both sides because when the woman goes missing they symbolize her disappearance with smoke, and The woman at the telephone booth is supposed to represent the main character.

And the moon is very significant in the end of the story. I even added the ferris wheel because it is apart of someone's tragic past.

3. The first ting that I did was decide on the book I wanted to recreate. Once I chose my book I jotted down what I thought were the most important things that happen in the book and drew a sketch of what I wanted to do. Once I logged into PS I immediately got started on the front cover. It was easy to find a photo of a moon so I added it and looked up a telephone booth and found one with a woman already inside it so I chose that one to represent the main character. I used blend modes to make the photo go with the outer space theme and I used a layer mask with the smoke. Then I typed out the Title of the book and the author's name. I played around with the placement a lot and decided to have the author's name at the top. Then I started to work on the back cover. First I looked up photos of a Ferris wheel and then of the sky and added them both onto the book cover. I used the eraser tool to blend the clouds together and then added the photo of the sputnik for the spine. Then I worked on adding all the texts. I added the title and the author, plus the publisher's name to the spine. I then added the quote to the front cover. Lastly, I added the sunset photos for the inner flaps (I previously had piles of books there but you couldn't read the text so I changed it) and copy pasted the text from the first page of the book on one side and facts of the author on the other one. I then made my mockup and added it to my Wix website.

4.The easiest part was sketching up ideas for this and the hardest part was using the eraser tool to conceal all the photo stock texts. 5. Based on the grading criteria, I believe I met the expectations and did a really good job.
